Job Summary:
we are seeking a skilled and compassionate Mammography Technologist to join our private clinic in Whitby. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to providing high-quality diagnostic mammography services and exceptional patient care within a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform screening and diagnostic mammography procedures.
- Ensure accurate patient positioning to obtain optimal image quality.
- Adhere to all radiation safety guidelines and protocols.
- Maintain and troubleshoot mammography equipment as needed.
- Educate patients on procedures, addressing questions and concerns to ensure comfort and cooperation.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Collaborate effectively with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Uphold patient confidentiality and privacy at all times.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of a recognized Medical Radiation Technology program.
- Current registration with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO).
- Demonstrated experience in performing mammography procedures.
- Proficiency in operating mammography equipment.
- Strong understanding of breast anatomy and pathology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to patient safety and quality imaging.
