Electromechanic (License C) — Evening or Night Shift

Location: Pointe-Claire / Montréal, QC
Schedule: Evening (2:00 PM–10:00 PM) or Night (10:00 PM–6:00 AM)
Employment Type: Full-Time | On-Site

Northwest Talent Solutions is supporting a well-established industrial manufacturing operation in the Montréal area seeking a licensed Electromechanic to join its maintenance team. This role supports automated production equipment in a continuous manufacturing environment and is best suited for a hands-on troubleshooting professional comfortable working independently on off-shift operations.

This is a permanent position with long-term stability and strong benefits.

What You'll Do:

  • Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on plant equipment

  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems

  • Install and maintain electrical circuits in accordance with code standards

  • Inspect automated production lines and complete equipment checklists

  • Diagnose recurring equipment failures and implement corrective actions

  • Support production uptime and equipment reliability initiatives

  • Read and interpret technical drawings and schematics

  • Participate in root-cause analysis and continuous improvement efforts

  • Follow safety procedures and ISO-quality processes

Required Qualifications:

  • Valid Québec Electrical License C (mandatory)

  • DEP in Electromechanics of Automated Systems, Industrial Mechanics, or equivalent

  • Minimum 3 years of industrial maintenance or manufacturing maintenance experience

  • Ability to read mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic drawings

  • Experience troubleshooting automated equipment

  • French communication skills (spoken and written)

  • Ability to work independently on evening or night shift

Ideal Experience:

Candidates often come from:

  • metals or extrusion manufacturing

  • food or packaging production

  • plastics or injection molding

  • automated conveyor/material-handling facilities

Experience with PLCs, welding exposure, hydraulics, and pneumatics is highly valued.

Work Environment:

  • Active industrial production floor

  • Heat and physically demanding environment

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

  • Off-shift operations (non-rotating)

Training will be completed on day shift for approximately 3 months before transitioning to the assigned shift.
