We are known for building trusted relationships, providing practical and actionable solutions, and maintaining an approach rooted in integrity, responsiveness, and results.</p><p><strong>The Opportunity</strong></p><p>As a key member of the Advisory Services team, the HR Consultant provides expert guidance and hands-on support to a range of clients. This senior consulting role requires a confident professional who can work independently, manage multiple priorities, and advise leadership teams with professionalism and discretion.</p><p>You’ll lead HR projects, assess client needs, and implement solutions that are practical, compliant, and aligned with business goals. The ideal candidate brings strong HR expertise, sound judgment, and a relationship-driven approach. They’re collaborative by nature but comfortable operating with autonomy, approaching each engagement with accountability and a genuine commitment to client success.</p><p><strong>As an HR Consultant you will:</strong></p><ul><li>Work from your home office and spend 1–2 days per week on-site with clients in Kamloops and surrounding communities.</li><li>Provide professional HR guidance, coaching, and expertise to client leadership teams on a wide range of HR matters including compliance, employee relations, and organizational development.</li><li>Lead and contribute to projects such as compensation reviews, job evaluation, policy and handbook development, performance frameworks, and workplace culture initiatives.</li><li>Conduct HR audits and develop clear, actionable recommendations to strengthen client processes, programs, and systems.</li><li>Take ownership of client projects from planning through execution, ensuring timelines, deliverables, and communication are consistently managed with professionalism and accountability.</li><li>Develop and deliver polished presentations and supporting materials to introduce new policies, programs, or frameworks to client teams and leadership groups.</li><li>Design and facilitate training sessions for employees and managers on topics such as leadership, respectful workplace practices, and HR compliance.</li><li>Support clients in aligning HR practices with business objectives to enhance engagement, retention, and overall organizational effectiveness.</li><li>Advise on and manage sensitive employee relations issues, including performance management, investigations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary action.</li><li>Coach and support managers in handling day-to-day HR responsibilities and navigating change with confidence and consistency.</li><li>Mentor and guide junior consultants to support their development, ensuring quality and consistency across Highbridge deliverables.</li><li>Collaborate with other Highbridge consultants to deliver seamless, high-quality service across both the Advisory and Talent Management divisions.</li><li>Contribute to continuous improvement within Highbridge by sharing insights, refining processes, and helping strengthen our client service frameworks.</li></ul><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><ul><li>7–10 years of progressive HR experience, including direct work in policy development, compliance, and employee relations.</li><li>Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; CPHR designation or eligibility is an asset.</li><li>Proven ability to build strong, trusted relationships with client leadership teams and provide professional, practical advice.</li><li>Suitable home office setup with reliable internet, a valid driver’s license, access to a reliable vehicle, and the ability to travel to client sites in Kamloops and surrounding communities (within a 2–3 hour radius).</li><li>Strong knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practices, including Employment Standards, Human Rights, Occupational Health and Safety, and related laws.</li><li>Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including facilitation, coaching, and conflict resolution.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to design and deliver engaging presentations that communicate complex information clearly to leadership teams and employees.</li><li>Experience developing and facilitating training programs for managers and employees on topics such as leadership, respectful workplace practices, and HR compliance.</li><li>Skilled in project management and capable of balancing multiple priorities while driving change and improving efficiencies for both clients and internal Highbridge initiatives.</li><li>Highly self-motivated and accountable, with sound judgment and the ability to operate effectively with minimal supervision.</li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with experience interpreting complex HR issues and delivering practical solutions.</li><li>Collaborative team player comfortable working in a remote, multi-consultant environment.</li><li>Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and other digital collaboration tools.</li><li>Experience working with Indigenous communities and organizations is considered a strong asset.</li></ul><p><strong>Benefits</strong></p><ul><li><strong>Competitive Compensation</strong>: Hourly rate based on skills and experience</li><li><strong>Travel Reimbursement:</strong> Coverage for client on-site visits. </li><li><strong>Flexible Work Structure:</strong> Freedom to organize your schedule around client commitments and project deliverables</li><li><strong>Meaningful Work:</strong> Diverse projects that expand your HR expertise and create measurable impact for clients</li></ul></p></p>
