<p><h3>Overview</h3><p>Senior FPGA Design Engineer at Aversan Inc. – Burlington, ON</p><p>Responsibilities include contributing to the new product introduction design process for FPGA technology, collaborating with the FPGA Design team to create digital design solutions.</p><h3>Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Creating FPGA designs using the VHDL language</li><li>Simulating designs using Questa Sim</li><li>Utilizing Xilinx design tools for synthesis, implementation, debugging and timing closure</li><li>Assisting the Verification Team as required</li><li>Integrating library modules within a larger FPGA design</li><li>Verifying, testing and debugging in hardware</li><li>Participating in regular design reviews and presenting FPGA status updates at project meetings</li><li>Supporting product sustaining operations</li><li>Generating high quality documentation</li><li>Following departmental practices and coding guidelines</li><li>Providing input and support to others outside of the FPGA team</li><li>Contributing to the team’s knowledge by sharing lessons learned</li><li>Participating in company educational events and training as needed</li><li>Proposing ideas for and participating in continuous inter- and intra-group innovation</li><li>Completing other tasks as assigned by Manager</li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><ul><li>Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, or equivalent</li><li>Strong FPGA design experience</li><li>Well versed with VHDL</li><li>MATLAB for algorithm development</li><li>Knowledge of Digital Signal Processing techniques</li><li>Experience with Digital or Analog Video</li><li>Experience with DO254 or other standardized safety-critical processes</li></ul><h3>Seniority level</h3><ul><li>Mid-Senior level</li></ul><h3>Employment type</h3><ul><li>Full-time</li></ul><h3>Job function</h3><ul><li>Engineering and Information Technology</li></ul><h3>Industries</h3><ul><li>Aviation and Aerospace Component Manufacturing</li></ul><p>Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at Aversan Inc. by 2x.
