<span ><span ><strong><span ><span >About the Company</span></span></strong> </span></span><br><span ><span ><span ><span >Our client is a publicly listed mining company, and t</span></span><span ><span >hey are looking for a Senior Financial Analyst, Operations Finance to join their team!</span></span></span></span><br><span ><span > </span></span><br><span ><span ><strong><span ><span >Why Work Here</span></span></strong> </span></span><ul><li ><span ><span ><span ><span >Fast growing publicly listed mining company that has a very strong corporate finance team.  Company is performing at record-highs</span></span></span></span><li ><span ><span ><span ><span >Opportunity for upward progression to Manager-level with strong performance</span></span></span></span><li ><span ><span ><span ><span >Vaco has a strong history of successful placements at this company, many of those are current team members or peers to this position.</span></span></span></span></ul><br><span ><span ><strong><span ><span >About the Opportunity</span></span></strong> </span></span><br><br><span ><span ><span ><span >Accounting and financial reporting</span></span></span></span><ul><li ><span ><span ><span ><span >Assist in monthly close process, including preparing journal entries, monthly accruals, and G/L account reconciliations, while ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal policies.</span></span></span></span><li ><span ><span ><span ><span >Collaborate with the Senior Manager, Operations Finance to ensure the accuracy and completeness of project results that feed the project status reports coordinated by the Projects team.</span></span></span></span><li ><span ><span ><span ><span >Participate in the design, documentation, and execution of SOX-404 controls at the project level, working closely with the corporate finance and Projects teams to ensure compliance and control effectiveness.</span></span></span></span></ul><br><span ><span ><span ><span >Forecasting and budgeting</span></span></span></span><ul><li ><span ><span ><span ><span >Work with the Company’s project teams, including planning function, construction team, engineering team and other departments as necessary, providing assistance on the preparation of their quarterly forecasts, annual budgets, and long-term (life-of-mine) plans.</span></span></span></span><li ><span ><span ><span ><span >Collaborate with the Senior Manager, Operations Finance to maintain existing communication channels with site finance teams, serve as the primary point of contact for any questions on forecasting or budgeting for the major projects.</span></span></span></span><li ><span ><span ><span ><span >Follow a detailed plan and timeline for the preparation of the quarterly forecast update and iterative consolidated budget exercise and help enforce accountability and timelines across the project and finance teams.</span></span></span></span><li ><span ><span ><span ><span >Prepare documentation of existing and new processes and procedures and develop recommendations for FP&A process improvement and adoption of best practices.</span></span></span></span></ul><br><span ><span ><span ><span >Business analysis</span></span></span></span><ul><li ><span ><span ><span ><span >Collaborate with project’s planning cost controller function to prepare necessary historical and forward-looking financial data that feeds regular project status reports.</span></span></span></span><li ><span ><span ><span ><span >Assist in analyzing financial results for a given period or periods to provide analysis and recommendations to the project team, specifically, on the status of completion of certain purchase orders.</span></span></span></span><li ><span ><span ><span ><span >Collaborate with the Senior Manager, Operations Finance to enhance the current state of business analysis in terms of quality of data, automation of reporting, visualization and interpretation of data and translation of data into useful information to be used for decision making by the projects team.</span></span></span></span></ul><br><span ><span ><strong><span ><span >About You</span></span></strong> </span></span><ul><li ><span ><span ><span ><span >Undergraduate university degree in an appropriate area of expertise, with preference for accounting, business, or equivalent technical degree</span></span></span></span><li ><span ><span ><span ><span >CPA preferred / strong asset</span></span></span></span><li ><span ><span ><span ><span >At least 3-5 years of related work experience in Corporate FP&A or Site FP&A </span></span></span></span><li ><span ><span ><span ><span >Experience in mining industry</span></span></span></span></ul><br><br><span ><span ><strong><span ><span >Salary Range</span></span></strong> </span></span><br><span ><span ><span ><span >$110,000 -
