Job Description
Adecco is currently recruiting for a <strong>Technician - Electrical and Electronics Engineering </strong>for a 1 year <strong>on-site</strong> contract opportunity. This role is with our public sector client in Ottawa, ON. The successful candidate must hold a valid Secret Level clearance that will not expire during the contract.<br><br><strong>Work Location:</strong> Ottawa, ON<br><strong>Days of Work:</strong> Monday - Friday<br><strong>Hours of Work: </strong>8am - 4pm<br><br><strong>The Technician - Electrical and Electronics Engineering will have the following responsibilities:</strong> <br><ul><li>Provide on-site Audio-Visual (AV) support<br></li><li>Equipment installations, removals, and moves<br></li><li>Conference room first- and second-line support<br></li><li>Live event setup, teardown, and coordination<br></li><li>Inform supervisor or co-workers of health and safety issues that arise to make them aware of potential dangers<br></li><li>Observe safety and security measures<br></li><li>Perform work independently or with team members;<br></li><li>Track, update, and fulfill service tickets in Assyst;<br></li><li>Do troubleshooting on AV equipment (portable and fixed);<br></li><li>Learn hands-on and on-the-job with the help of DIMEUS 3-4 technicians;<br></li><li>Update trackers using Microsoft Office tools (primarily Excel, Powerpoint, and Word) as required<br></li><li>Communicate with clients through oral and written mediums (primarily over the phone and email)<br></li></ul><br><strong>The Technician - Electrical and Electronics Engineering must have the following:</strong> <br><ul><li>Certificate, diploma, or degree in a specific relevant discipline from a recognized Canadian post-secondary institution<br></li><li>Minimum cumulative 2 years' experience troubleshooting, installing, and supporting (first-line support) AV, conference room, and network devices<br></li><li>Minimum cumulative 2 years' experience interacting with clients, providing system capabilities and limitations, and providing verbal briefs/tutorials at the user level<br></li><li>Ability to move and lift up to 50lbs throughout the shift without difficulty<br></li><li>Must be able to bend, twist, crawl or stand for long periods of time without difficulty<br></li><li>Ability to work under pressure with proper work prioritization for situations including short turnarounds and VIP/VVIP clients<br></li></ul><br><br>If you are interested in applying to our <strong>Technician - Electrical and Electronics Engineering </strong>opportunity, please submit your resume as soon as possible by clicking on the 'Apply with Adecco' button.<br>CAB7616<br>@@j <br><br></br><br>Create Your Resume First
