Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care, promoting oral health, and ensuring a comfortable experience for our patients. This position requires a strong understanding of dental hygiene practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough teeth cleaning (debridement) and examinations for patients of all ages.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental care.
- Take digital dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
- Document patient treatment plans and maintain accurate records using Dentrix software.
- Provide pediatric dental care with a focus on creating a positive experience for young patients.
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding their treatment options and follow-up care.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the operatory area, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
Requirements
- Valid Ontario Dental Hygienist license.
- Proficiency in Dentrix software is highly preferred.
- Experience in orthodontics and pediatrics is an advantage.
- Strong customer service skills to enhance patient interactions.
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry.
- Previous experience in a dental office setting is beneficial.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $45.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 16 per week
