Role Description
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Portable Fire Extinguisher Technician to join our expanding Fire Protection team. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who wants to advance their career by inspecting, maintaining, and servicing portable fire extinguishers and hoses in accordance with relevant codes and standards.

Responsibilities included, but not limited to:

• Install and establish portable fire extinguishers & hoses in accordance with industry standards and fire codes.

• Perform inspections of portable fire extinguishers and hoses.

• Identify deficiencies and recommend corrective actions

• Ensure compliance with NFPA 10 and Ontario Fire Code standards

• Conduct maintenance, recharge, and hydrostatic testing as required of portable fire extinguishers.

• Accurately document inspections and maintain service records

• Provide professional customer service at client locations
Qualifications:

• Certification in NFPA 10 – Portable Fire Extinguishers

• Knowledge of Ontario Fire Code requirements

• Previous experience in fire protection or extinguisher servicing preferred

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

• Valid Ontario driver's license with a clean driving record

• Ability to work independently and travel to job sites.

• Ability to physically manipulate and lift up to 60lbs.
