Operations Assistant - Warehouse Utility Associate

Job Description

<p><p>Job Purpose In-house operations assistant - warehouse utility worker of inventory, shipping and receiving items Duties and Responsibilities</p>
<ul>
<li>Pulling, filling, packing, and setting up orders for delivery or pickup</li>
<li>Maintain the ability to determine the status of an order at any given time</li>
<li>Follow any special instructions pertaining to an individual order</li>
<li>Receive shipments, log into inventory, pick all pops, and maintain inventory through audits</li>
<li>Handles domestic and international shipping, ensures proper packaging, and manages supply orders</li>
<li>Report any quality or inventory discrepancy issues to the appropriate person</li>
<li>Communicate positively with supervisors, sales staff, fellow workers, and customers to coordinate deliveries / pick-up and process returns accurately</li>
<li>Assist in keeping the facility clean, neat, safe, and operating efficiently</li>
<li>Follow all established policies and safety guidelines</li>
<li>Assist in keeping the facility secure and follow company policies and procedures</li>
<li>Maintain proficiency in computerized systems and other technologies as required</li>
<li>Present a neat and professional image and other duties as assigned</li>
</ul>
<h3>Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities</h3>
<ul>
<li>Understands basic inventory, warehouse, and stocking procedures</li>
<li>Competent written and verbal English communication skills</li>
<li>Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel)</li>
<li>Comfortable in fast-paced environment</li>
<li>Accuracy and attention to detail</li>
<li>Able to work independently with some direction</li>
<li>Capable of following written instructions and documented procedures</li>
<li>Ability to multitask by handling multiple assignments, both routine and urgent</li>
</ul>
<h3>Formal Education and / or Training Required</h3>
<ul>
<li>High school diploma or GED</li>
</ul>
<h3>Working Environment and Physical Requirements</h3>
<ul>
<li>Stand / walk on concrete floor for duration of work hours</li>
<li>Lift / carry / maneuver heavy material or equipment (up to 50 lbs.)</li>
<li>Warehouse environment with temperature variations</li>
<li>Exposure to some hazardous chemicals (paint, solvents)</li>
</ul>
