<h3>About The Role</h3>
<p>Grade Level (for internal use): 11<br/> S&P Global Market Intelligence<br/> The Role: Lead Site Reliability Engineer</p>
<h3>The Team</h3>
<p>The Cloud Engineering team at S&P Global is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the cloud infrastructure that supports our business operations. The team works closely with development, testing, and product groups to understand their requirements and deliver scalable, reliable cloud solutions, along with TechOps support. The team leverages cloud technologies, such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure DevOps, and GitHub, to enable the development and deployment of the application. They ensure the security, availability, and performance of our cloud‑based systems.</p>
<h3>Responsibilities and Impact</h3>
<ul>
<li>Develop monitoring solutions to provide complete system coverage</li>
<li>Strategically plan and organize team deliverables</li>
<li>Practice and document disaster recovery scenarios</li>
<li>Streamline our software build and release pipeline</li>
<li>Engage in post‑incident reviews to learn from failures and solve the root cause</li>
<li>Able to be available for incident escalations</li>
</ul>
<h3>What We’re Looking For</h3>
<h3>Basic Required Qualifications</h3>
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.</li>
<li>+10 years of relevant experience in related roles.</li>
<li>AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional certification</li>
<li>Expertise in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, and PowerShell</li>
<li>Advanced experience with infrastructure‑as‑code tools, including Terraform and CloudFormation</li>
<li>Strong time‑management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines</li>
<li>Excellent troubleshooting abilities to diagnose and resolve complex issues efficiently</li>
<li>Clear and effective communication skills, especially when explaining complex technical concepts</li>
<li>Proven leadership experience with the ability to guide and mentor a team of engineers</li>
</ul>
<h3>Additional Preferred Qualifications</h3>
<ul>
<li>Experience with networking concepts and protocols</li>
<li>Mastery of both Windows and Linux operating systems at scale</li>
<li>Expert with CI/CD tools: Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions</li>
</ul>
<h3>Location</h3>
<p>Calgary or Toronto (hybrid 2 days onsite)</p>
