As a Junior Civil/Geological and Geotechnical/Hydrotechnical Engineer in our Mining Environmental Group, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of large-scale, world-class projects involving the design, construction, and operations for mining projects.
This Role Will Give You The Opportunity To
- Work on a variety of geotechnical projects that may include: site characterization, slope stability, numerical modeling, foundation design, tailings dam design, embankment dams and earthworks design; or a variety of hydrotechnical projects that may include: climate and hydrology baseline assessments, hydrologic and hydraulic modelling, stormwater management infrastructure design, river engineering, mine water balances and water management plans
- Visit project sites, gathering information as required to complement design activities and get involved in site investigation and drilling programs, core logging, lab testing, instrumentation installations and monitoring, as well as data review and analysis
- Work with diverse teams of discipline engineers and designers from conceptual design through to construction and operations through to closure
- Receive on-going guidance and mentorship from leaders in the industry in a supportive, dynamic company culture that supports career development.
- Travel to various project sites within Canada and internationally
If you have a Bachelor's degree in civil or geological engineering, are registered or are eligible to register as an Engineer-In-Training, we want to hear from you.

- Technical knowledge and experience in site exploration, civil and geotechnical or hydrotechnical design

- Verbal and written English communication skills
- Experience with civil, geotechnical and/or hydrotechnical design software
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally, occasionally to remote environments with limited communication or logistical support
The salary for this position is $70,000 to $85,000 per year. The salary is based on applicable experience, education, and skill level.
