Jr. Financial Analyst

About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Financial Analyst to join our Corporate Finance team. In this role, you will support the planning, analysis, and reporting functions that drive strategic decision-making across the organization. You will work closely with senior analysts and finance leadership to build financial models, prepare management reports, and contribute to the annual budgeting and forecasting processes.

Responsibilities:
Financial Modeling & Analysis
- Build and maintain financial models to support business cases, investment decisions, and scenario analysis
- Perform sensitivity and scenario analyses to evaluate risks and opportunities across key business drivers
- Develop DCF, comparable company, and precedent transaction models under senior analyst guidance
- Assist in the preparation of financial projections for strategic initiatives and capital expenditure proposals
Reporting & Performance Analysis
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for senior management and key stakeholders
- Conduct variance analysis comparing actual results to budget and forecast, identifying key drivers of deviation
- Create and maintain dashboards and KPI trackers to monitor business performance
- Support the preparation of board-level presentations and executive summaries
- Ensure accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of all financial reporting deliverables
Budgeting & Financial Planning
- Support the annual budgeting cycle, including data gathering, consolidation, and review of departmental submissions
- Assist in rolling forecast updates, working with business partners to capture operational changes
- Help develop cost allocation methodologies and track spending against approved budgets
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve the quality and accuracy of financial plans
General & Ad Hoc
- Assist with ad hoc analysis requests from senior leadership and business stakeholders
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives within the finance function
- Maintain organized records and documentation for audit readiness
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related quantitative field
- 0-2 years of experience in a financial analysis, FP&A, or corporate finance role (internships count)
- Exposure to financial statement analysis and management reporting is advantageous
Technical Skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/INDEX-MATCH, financial functions, data visualization)
- Working knowledge of financial modeling principles and best practices
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and/or BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is a plus
- Basic understanding of accounting principles (GAAP or IFRS)
Soft Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with excellent attention to detail
- Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
- Collaborative mindset with a willingness to learn and take initiative
Preferred Qualifications
- Progress toward or intent to pursue CFA, CPA, or CIMA certification
- Experience with Epicor
- Experience with SQL or data querying tools
- Familiarity with financial planning software (e.g., Anaplan, Adaptive Insights, Hyperion)
- Prior internship experience in investment banking, consulting, or corporate finance
