POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) will serve as a strategic partner to business leaders, aligning HR initiatives with organizational goals while supporting day-to-day people operations. The ideal candidate is a proactive, hands-on HR professional who can balance strategic thinking with operational execution and act as a trusted advisor to leaders and employees. This role reports to the Vice President – Human Resources.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

HR Operations & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with employment legislation, company policies, and internal procedures.
  • Support and partner on global HR initiatives, with a strong preference for experience across the U.S. and France,
  • Support employee lifecycle changes, documentation, and offboarding.
  • Maintain HR documentation and ensure audit readiness in a regulated (GMP) environment.

Employee Relations & Performance Management

  • Provide guidance and support on employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, investigations, disciplinary actions, and performance improvement plans.
  • Coach managers on effective performance management, feedback, and development conversations.
  • Ensure fair, consistent, and compliant application of HR policies and practices.

Total Rewards

  • Partner with Finance, Legal, and business leaders to support the design, administration, and governance of compensation and benefits programs.
  • Support annual compensation reviews, salary benchmarking, merit increases, promotions, and equity adjustments.
  • Oversee administration and communication of employee benefits programs, including health, wellness, retirement, and leave programs.

Incentives & Sales Commissions

  • Support the design, implementation, and management of sales incentive and commission plans.
  • Ensure incentive plans are aligned with business objectives, compliant with employment legislation, and clearly communicated to participants.
  • Partner with Finance, Payroll, and Legal on incentive payouts, audits, and dispute resolution.

Legal Partnership & Risk Management

  • Partner closely with internal and external Legal counsel on employee-related legal matters, including investigations, terminations, accommodations, and litigation risk.
  • Support the preparation and review of employment-related documentation, including contracts, amendments, policies, and disciplinary records.
  • Ensure HR practices align with evolving employment laws and regulatory requirements, minimizing organizational risk.

Culture, Engagement & Change Management

  • Champion Prollenium’s culture, values, and commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Lead and support change management initiatives related to growth, restructuring, or process improvements.

Data, Reporting & Continuous Improvement

  • Utilize HR metrics and data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to leadership based on people data.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Technical Knowledge / Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • CHRP / CHRL designation (or working toward) is strongly preferred.
  • 5–8+ years of progressive HR experience, including experience as an HR Business Partner or HR Generalist in a complex organization.
  • Experience supporting global HR operations, with a strong preference for hands-on experience across the U.S. and France.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing, life sciences, pharmaceutical, or medical device environments is highly preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of Canadian and US employment legislation.
  • Experience working in a regulated, GMP-compliant environment is an asset.
  • Proficiency with HRIS system, preferably Bamboo HR and Microsoft Office Suite.

NOTE: This is a 4-day in office position at Richmond Hill.
