We invite applications for a Health Care Coordinator with the St. Andrew's College Summer Camp. The camp runs from June 29th, 2026, and ends August 14th, 2026, Monday to Friday 7:30am to 5:30pm. Training and preparation will begin on a part-time basis June 1st, 2026.
The Health Care Coordinator will be responsible for the overall health and safety of campers and staff as well as overseeing the camp's health programming and policies. As the key health professional for the camp, the Health Care Coordinator will provide training to camp staff regarding Health Centre policies and procedures, will administer first aid and dispense medications and will liaise with parents on camper health needs.
The main responsibilities include:
路 Develop and execute the camp's overall health program and policies
路 Develop and deliver training to camp staff
路 Oversee the health and safety of campers and staff, including administering first aid, dispensing medication, handling emergency situations
路 Accompany sick or injured campers or staff to medical attention
路 Respond to health-related inquires and serve as the primary point of contact for parents, staff, and campers
路 Purchase, inventory, and store first aid and medical supplies
路 Complete and maintaining all health-related documentation
路 Liaise with medical professionals as necessary
Success Profile:
The ideal candidate is a Registered Nurse or a Registered Practical Nurse with current First Aid and CPR certifications and a desire to work with children.
Minimum requirement is the completion of two years of nursing school.
Practical and professional experience is preferred.
Candidates must illustrate knowledge of health care standards, emerging issues and best practices for the development and delivery of health and safety programs, particularly as related to children and youth, as well as knowledge of all relevant legislation and regulations.
Compensation: The hourly wage range for this role is $31.00 to $48.00.
