Job Description

We're seeking a strategic, hands-on Director of Enterprise Allocations to define and execute an end-to-end allocation strategy that balances accuracy, transparency, and compliance across management and legal entities. You will streamline allocation methodologies and technology, simplify processes, and partner with senior stakeholders to deliver scalable allocation frameworks that support clear financial reporting and confident decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own enterprise allocation strategy and governance, ensuring consistency and auditability across management and legal entity views.
  • Drive simplification and standardization of allocation methodologies; translate complex allocations into clear, scalable approaches.
  • Lead integration of Technology Business Management (TBM) taxonomy and the consolidated Inter Unit Charge (IUC) process into a unified allocation model.
  • Act as the senior liaison between service providers and consumers — ensuring allocation outcomes and value are understood at office and segment levels.
  • Partner with Global Tax to ensure transfer pricing and related-party documentation are complete and current.
  • Maintain and evolve allocation tooling (Apptio and complementary platforms) to support changing business models and methodologies.
  • Provide leadership during entity reorganizations and M&A activity to preserve allocation integrity for both management reporting and legal/tax compliance.
  • Re-engineer processes, drive automation opportunities, and establish controls to improve efficiency, transparency, and scalability.
  • Mentor and develop a high-performing team; influence cross-functional partners to secure alignment and adoption.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Tax or equivalent; advanced degree a plus.
  • ~8+ years in Finance/Accounting/Tax with progressive responsibility; 4+ years managing teams.
  • CPA designation is considered an asset.
  • Public accounting and/or insurance/reinsurance accounting experience highly desirable.
  • Hands-on experience with TBM taxonomy and Apptio preferred.
  • Strong technical skills with Excel and BI/reporting tools.
  • Deep knowledge of financial controls, transfer pricing, and regulatory/tax considerations related to allocations.
  • Proven track record leading process redesign, systems integrations, and cross-functional change.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, persuasion, and executive communication skills — able to present complex tax/finance topics succinctly to senior leadership.
  • Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and people leadership capabilities.

Why this matters:
This role sits at the intersection of finance, tax, and technology — influencing how resources are measured, priced, and reported across the enterprise. You'll build frameworks and systems that improve decision-making, reduce complexity, and create sustainable scale.
