<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p><p><strong>Chief Operating Officer (COO)</strong></p><p><strong>Location:</strong> Red Deer, Alberta (Relocation Required)</p><p><strong>Compensation:</strong> $120,000 – $200,000 per year + $7,000 Relocation Bonus</p><p><br /></p><p>We are seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead all aspects of our organization’s operational performance. This role will oversee multiple departments including production, quality, supply chain, logistics, and compliance, ensuring that operational strategies align with overall business objectives.</p><p><br /></p><p>The COO will play a critical role in driving growth, improving efficiency, and building high-performing teams that deliver exceptional results. This position requires relocation to Red Deer, Alberta, with a $7,000 relocation bonus provided to support the move.</p><p><br /></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Provide executive leadership and strategic direction across all operational departments, ensuring alignment with corporate goals and long-term business strategy</li><li>Oversee daily operations, ensuring that production, logistics, and supply chain teams meet organizational objectives related to efficiency, quality, and compliance</li><li>Develop and execute operational strategies, performance metrics, and process improvements that enhance productivity and profitability</li><li>Partner closely with the CEO and senior leadership team to shape business growth plans, operational budgets, and capital investment priorities</li><li>Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation throughout the organization</li><li>Lead and mentor the management team, ensuring strong communication, clear expectations, and professional development opportunities</li><li>Ensure adherence to all relevant regulatory, quality, and safety standards, while maintaining operational readiness and risk management practices</li><li>Oversee the design and implementation of scalable systems, policies, and processes that support sustainable expansion</li><li>Use data-driven insights to evaluate operational performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement improvements that drive measurable impact</li><li>Represent the operations division in executive meetings, providing updates and recommendations to guide decision-making</li><li>Promote a culture of safety, compliance, and continuous improvement across all levels of the organization</li><li>Perform other executive-level duties as required to support the success of the organization</li></ul><p><br /></p><p>Qualifications</p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in business administration, operations management, engineering, or a related field (MBA or other advanced degree preferred)</li><li>10+ years of progressive leadership experience in operations, production, or manufacturing, with at least 5 years in an executive or senior management role</li><li>Proven success in overseeing multi-department operations in a regulated manufacturing or production environment</li><li>Demonstrated experience developing and executing organizational strategies that drive growth, efficiency, and operational excellence</li><li>Strong financial acumen, with experience managing budgets, capital expenditures, and P&L responsibility</li><li>Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire teams and influence at all levels</li><li>Skilled in data-driven decision-making and operational performance measurement (KPIs, metrics, dashboards)</li><li>Must be able to pass a criminal record check</li><li>Ability to thrive in a dynamic and evolving environment, balancing strategic vision with hands-on execution</li></ul><p><br /></p><p><em>Terra Recruitment is proud to partner with organizations that value diversity and inclusion.</em></p><p><br /></p><p><em>Our clients are Equal Opportunity Employers and do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, age, national origin, disability, veteran status, or any other legally protected status.</em></p><p><br /></p><p><br /></p></p></p>Create Your Resume First
