We offer clients advanced in-house engineering & design with 3D modeling, piloting, fabrication and machining, in-house control panel shop, and a full range of field services, allowing us to provide turn-key solutions.</p><p><br /></p><p>We are seeking a highly motivated Assistant Controller to join our finance team. This role plays a key part in supporting financial planning and analysis activities, ensuring accurate reporting, insightful analysis, and strong collaboration across departments. The ideal candidate has a solid understanding of financial statements, budgeting, and forecasting, and enjoys turning data into meaningful business insights.</p><p></p><p>Key Responsibilities</p><ul><li>Oversee day-to-day accounting operations (AP, AR, payroll, reconciliations)</li><li>Assist with the timely, complete, and accurate preparation of financial statements and management reports.</li><li>Perform variance analysis between actuals and budgets, clearly identifying and communicating key drivers.</li><li>Support the budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management processes.</li><li>Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting tools to track KPIs and improve visibility across the business.</li><li>Review and reconcile foreign exchange transactions and support hedge accounting documentation in accordance with ASPE standards.</li><li>Assist with year-end process and prepare supporting documentation.</li><li>Ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax requirements, and applicable accounting standards.</li><li>Play a key role in the evaluation, implementation, and setup of a new ERP system, ensuring accurate data migration, efficient process design, and improved financial reporting.</li><li>Collaborate effectively with the finance team and other business stakeholders to support strategic decision-making.</li></ul><p></p><p>Qualifications</p><ul><li>CPA designation or equivalent experience</li><li>Must have prior public practice (audit or assurance) experience, with industry experience in manufacturing and/or construction considered a strong asset.</li><li>A hands-on professional who leads by example and motivates individuals at all levels to strive for success and excellence</li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills</li><li>Strong understanding of financial reporting requirements<br><br></li></ul><p><br /></p><p>Benefits</p><p><br><br></p><p>Industry Leading Compensation Packages:AWC has developed a competitive compensation package for each position that rewards employees for hard work and results.
