THE ROLE
As a Welder Fitter, you will ensure the equipment is working efficiently and effectively while delivering a quality product in a safe and clean environment. This welder fitter full-time position is located in Hamilton ON for a very reputable manufacturing company.
ADVANTAGES
- Great starting pay rate of $25-$28/hr (plus $2.00 afternoon premium per hour)
- Straight shifts -Monday to Thursday (4 pm to 2 am)

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Weld structural steel using FCAW to create strong, reliable joints.
- Operate and maintain welding equipment, such as machines, grinders, and torches
- Read and follow blueprints and welding instructions to ensure accurate work.
- Safely operate an overhead crane to move materials and equipment.
- Follow safety rules and wear PPE at all times.
- Choose the right tools and equipment for each job to ensure good results.
- Work well with the team to meet production goals and deadlines.
- Take care of tools and equipment to keep them in good working condition.
- Solve problems and find solutions when welding issues arise.
- Help other departments like Assembly, Machining, and Mechanics to keep things running smoothly.
REQUIREMENTS
- 2 years of experience in welding within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Proficiency in FCAW (Flux Core)
- Ability to operate various welding tools and equipment safely and effectively.
- Strong knowledge of safety standards and best practices in the welding industry.
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and other departments.
- Strong welding and fitting abilities.
- Certification through the Canadian Welding Bureau (CWB) is an asset.
