Job Description
<p>This position drives and operates a specialized truck equipped with a vacuum system to gather, transport and dispose of liquid waste, sludge, and other materials, ensuring safety and compliance with environmental regulations.</p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>· Adhere to all safety policies and regulations using and maintaining all required PPE</p><p>· Positive attitude and work ethic</p><p>· Complete driver's logbook & daily vehicle inspection (pre, in and post trip)</p><p>· Use and proficient in various apps as required by Synergy for example but not limited to Trello, Fleetio, ADP, Site Docs, etc.</p><p>· Complete maintenance and repair reports, accident, or incident reports</p><p>· Maintain a clean vehicle</p><p>· Troubleshoot any equipment issues and relay to service technician for assistance or resolution</p><p>· Traffic plan control following Book 7 at all project sites</p><p>· Have and review valid locates for all activities</p><p>· Work at assigned project sites to daylight utilities and remove slurry in conjunction with horizonal drilling operations, pole placement, vault, and pedestal relocation</p><p>· Transport material to designated disposal sites</p><p>· Ensure truck is stored to avoid damage from freezing</p><p>· Submit activity sheets to office daily capturing all work complete</p><p>· Maintain training requirements and follow all company policies</p><p>· Other duties as assigned</p><p>Knowledge and Skills:</p><p>· Demonstrated commitment to health and safety and willing to receive applicable Health and Safety training as per legislative and job requirements.</p><p>· Physically fit and capable of lifting 50+ lbs</p><p>· Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions</p><p>· Experience driving and operating a vac truck</p><p>· Read and interpret plans, diagrams and perform required work</p><p>· Firm understanding of underground locates</p><p>· Valid Ontario Class DZ with clean drivers abstract</p><p>· Must be fully proficient with CVOR and Book 7 requirements</p><p>· Team player and motivated</p><p>· Must be able to work in a high paced working environment</p><p>Physical Demands:</p><p>· Must be able to perform the physical demands of the position</p><p>· Working outdoors movement of equipment and/or materials, frequent lifting and pulling</p><p>· Receive applicable health and safety training on an ongoing basis as per legislative and job requirements</p><p>Job Type: Full-time</p><p>Language:</p><ul><li>English (preferred)</li></ul><p>Licence/Certification:</p><ul><li>Class G Licence (preferred)</li></ul><p>Work Location: In person</p>Create Your Resume First
