<h3>Job Description</h3>
<ul>
<li>Drive technical direction of cloud solutions aligned with cloud strategy</li>
<li>Compile, develop, and deliver architectural guardrails; influence stakeholders and ensure compliance with guardrails</li>
<li>Responsible to build services to effectively provision, install/ configure cloud infrastructure and lead infrastructure as code</li>
<li>Provide guidance on new tools and techniques to increase performance, automation, agility and scalability</li>
<li>Partner with delivery teams to help build CI/CD pipelines</li>
<li>Service management - enable teams logging, monitoring, alerting, auditing and reporting on service platforms</li>
<li>Partner with application teams to design and implement codified stacks that meet their needs</li>
<li>Research, analyse, recommend and select technical approaches for solving difficult and challenging development and integration problems</li>
<li>Operations management - Identity and access management (IAM) and asset management</li>
<li>Support cost management reporting - assist the tracking and reporting on the financial performance of cloud initiatives to ensure they are creating desired value. Advisory on project costing / budgeting</li>
<li>Provide up-to-date information on all GCP services, and advise on how to solve business use cases and support technology-led innovation</li>
<li>Partner with technology teams to apply security, and governance requirements and best practices are implemented in the cloud environment</li>
<li>Oversee establishment and maintenance of appropriate standards for cloud services and definition of processes and guidelines</li>
</ul>
<h3>Academic Training</h3>
<ul>
<li>University Degree in a related area preferred</li>
</ul>
<h3>Required Skills & Expertise</h3>
<ul>
<li>5+ years experience in IT Infrastructure Operations with a min of 3 years of experience with public clouds (GCP, Azure, AWS, OCI)</li>
<li>Infrastructure as code expertise (ex. Terraform, GCloud)</li>
<li>Expertise with coding & scripting languages (ex. Python, Bash, Git, Bitbucket)</li>
<li>Experience with tooling to support monitoring, telemetry, logging, reporting/dashboarding, and continuous delivery technologies</li>
<li>Understanding of automation practices throughout the development, build, and deployment phases of the application lifecycle</li>
<li>System engineering in cloud-based architecture (including solution design and infrastructure core services)</li>
<li>Experience with Dev & SecOps and secure coding practices, including data security and privacy</li>
</ul>
<h3>Nice-to-Have Skills & Expertise</h3>
<ul>
<li>GCP certification(s)</li>
<li>Information security certification(s)</li>
<li>Comprehensive understanding of key technological concepts such as IT architecture, Cloud technologies, applications, network infrastructure, and security is strongly preferred</li>
<li>Experience with incident management and on call support</li>
<li>Development/automation experience including installation, deployment and update of enterprise systems</li>
<li>Experience operating in agile environment using Jira (scrum/kanban/mvp)</li>
<li>Process definition and improvement expertise</li>
<li>Containerization experience (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes (GKE))</li>
<li>Serverless experience (Cloudrun, Pub/Sub)</li>
<li>Build orchestration (e.g. Cloud Build, Jenkins)</li>
</ul>
