<h3>Your Contributions to the Team</h3>
<p>In this role, you will review and assess suppliers’ airborne software and electronic hardware designs to ensure they meet our client’s technical and regulatory requirements. Your responsibilities will include :</p>
<ul>
<li>Participating in preliminary and critical system design reviews</li>
<li>Reviewing and assessing suppliers’ certification plans for airborne software and electronic hardware</li>
<li>Evaluating designs for software and electronic components (FPGA, ASIC, PLD)</li>
<li>Conducting technical and process audits at supplier facilities</li>
<li>Performing safety-of-flight reviews</li>
<li>Assessing test results and analyses to determine compliance status</li>
<li>Leading resolution efforts for safety, compliance, or technical issues with suppliers and internal stakeholders</li>
<li>Preparing and reviewing design compliance reports</li>
<li>Contributing to the evolution of the Software and Electronics (SWEL) domain roadmap</li>
<li>Mentoring less experienced professionals</li>
</ul>
<h3>What You Bring to the Role</h3>
<ul>
<li>A university degree in Electronics, Software, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field</li>
<li>Canadian citizenship</li>
<li>At least 15 years of experience in a technical engineering role, including 10 years in aeronautics</li>
<li>A minimum of 5 years of experience in FPGA / ASIC development and / or embedded software development for aerospace applications</li>
<li>Deep knowledge of airborne software and electronic hardware guidance and compliance standards, including :</li>
<li>RTCA DO-178B / C, DO-248B / C, DO-254, DO-330</li>
<li>EASA CM-SWCEH-002 and CM-SWCEH-001</li>
<li>FAA AC 20-115D, AC 20-152A</li>
<li>FAA Orders 8110.49A and 8110.105A</li>
<li>Familiarity with requirements capture tools (e.g., DOORS, JAMA)</li>
<li>Proficiency in multiple programming languages (C, C++, Ada95, Assembly, Python) and hardware description languages</li>
<li>Understanding of embedded computer architectures, operating systems, and real-time executives</li>
<li>General knowledge of electronics and software programming</li>
<li>Experience working with civil aircraft and airworthiness authorities</li>
<li>Membership in the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ)</li>
<li>A results-driven mindset with strong initiative and accountability</li>
<li>Ability to work independently with minimal supervision</li>
<li>Strong organizational skills, team orientation, customer focus, and resilience under pressure</li>
<li>Demonstrated adaptability, innovation, and integrity</li>
<li>Strong influencing skills</li>
<li>Excellent oral and written communication skills in English; functional French is an asset</li>
