Shop Administrative and Parts Coordinator

Standard Bus Contracting is currently seeking a Shop Administrative and Parts Coordinator to join our dynamic team in Whitehorse. This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of a growing company that offers competitive wages, professional growth, and work-life balance.

This is a part-time position working during office hours, Monday through Friday, and is expected to receive approximately 25 to 30 hours per week dependent on business needs.

Wage: $28.00 per hour

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative and support to shop staff including data entry, inventory management, organization, and procurement of parts
  • Assist with the washing and shuttling of buses to and from service locations as needed to meet operational demands
  • Respond to employee inquiries in a timely manner and coordinate between drivers, shop and office staff as necessary
  • Liaise with other departments for accurate information related to training, scheduling, and time entry
  • Effectively communicate any service changes to the Operations team and external clients
  • Assist Operations with any ad-hoc projects that may arise for internal and external reporting or analysis
  • Awareness of and participate in improving the Company’s KPI’s

Knowledge & Skills Required:

  • Completion of a college program in Office or Business Administration and/or a minimum of 1 year of related work experience is an asset
  • Valid driver's license
  • Capable of lifting minimum 30 lbs
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, and the ability to learn internal software applications
  • Team player with strong verbal and written communication skills
  • High attention to detail and confidentiality and must be fully aware of the sensitivity of the position and act upon it accordingly
  • Ability to multi-task and problem-solve while maintaining flexibility
  • Ability to maintain composure and excellent customer service in a fast paced and deadline-based environment
