The employer provides transportation when the job site is outside of the City of Edmonton.</p><p>Wage: $30-$32/hour (based on experience, salary increases as per Company policy); performance bonus per company policy.</p><p>Employment terms and conditions: Seasonal, Full-Time, 40 to 60 hours/week (weather-dependent), Morning, Day, Weekend, Overtime</p><p>Benefits: Health benefits (medical, dental, and vision), Living allowance for out-of-town work</p><p>Vacancies: 24</p><p>Anticipated start date: Spring 2026 (Actual start date is weather-dependent)</p><p></p><p>Job requirements:</p><p>Language: Basic English</p><p>Experience: 3 years of related experience</p><p>Work Setting: Underground Infrastructure construction which includes storm, sanitary, and water mains within municipal, commercial, or residential land development projects.</p><p>Area of specialization: Laser <span >levelling/aligning,</span> cutting and bevelling pipe</p><p>Construction specialization: Municipal, commercial or residential deep underground utilities (storm, sanitary, and water systems).</p><p>Work Site Environment: Outdoors, Underground, Confined spaces, Dangerous, Dusty</p><p>Work conditions and physical capabilities:<br />Fast-paced environment, Physically demanding, Attention to detail, Tight deadlines, Repetitive tasks, Manual dexterity, Work under pressure, Handling heavy loads (Up to 23 kg (50 lbs))</p><p>Personal suitability: Efficient interpersonal skills, Flexibility, Reliability, Team player, Dependability, Judgement</p><p>Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots</p><p>Security and safety: Must comply with the companys drug and alcohol testing requirements</p><p></p><p>Duties:</p><p>Reporting to the Foreman, the Pipelayer will be responsible for preparing and installing underground sewer pipelines and water mains as required.</p><ul><li>Load, unload, and transport construction materials,</li></ul><ul><li>Aligning pipes during sewer pipeline construction,</li></ul><ul><li>Level earth to fine-grade specifications,</li></ul><ul><li>Ensure blueprint specifications are followed,</li></ul><ul><li>Use laser levels, grade rods, or transit levels to ensure correct configuration & alignment of pipes,</li></ul><ul><li>Ensure the pipe is compliant with specifications with bedding, grade, and cover compaction,</li></ul><ul><li>Ensure company policies are followed to mitigate any damage to both <span >overhead/underground</span> utilities, property, and equipment,</li></ul><ul><li>Inspect places where pipes are fitted together to ensure pipes are spaced out properly and according to specifications,</li></ul><ul><li>Ensure pipes are bedded and covered with appropriate dirt or other material,</li></ul><ul><li>Mentor and guide helpers and new employees,</li></ul><ul><li>Know, understand, and ensure compliance with safety regulations,</li></ul><ul><li>Know and follow the companys rules, policies, and procedures.</li></ul><p></p><p>Veterans of the Canadian Armed Forces, Visible minorities, Indigenous people, and Newcomers to Canada, are welcome to apply.</p></p></p>Create Your Resume First
