The Royal Alexandra Hospital (RAH) is one of two Tertiary Trauma Centers in the City of Edmonton and one of the busiest Emergency Departments in Canada. Centrally located in Edmonton’s downtown core, the RAH serves a diverse community, including some of our province’s most vulnerable and marginalized population. The RAH Emergency department cares for patients with major trauma, cardiac events, injuries, and general medical problems. Our staff are dedicated to improving patient and provider experience through ‘The Royal Alex Way’. We are motivated and strive towards excellence; embracing our inner city pride. The Emergency Department at RAH is a highly acute and challenging setting. Our patients encompass a diverse socio-economic spectrum and multi-cultural backgrounds.
Role summary: As a Service Worker I, you will be responsible for transporting patients (clients/residents) and equipment to and from different patient care areas within a hospital site. You will distribute and replenish hospital supplies throughout the units and clean equipment and patient care areas as directed. You may also transport lab specimens, blood and blood products, and patient charts. You will report any concerns regarding supplies and safety issues to Unit Managers and perform other duties as required.

Qualifications
- Required Qualifications: Grade 12 or equivalent.
- Additional Required Qualifications: Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
