Job Description
Agilus is recruiting for a Senior Vessel Designer / Checker in the Oil & Gas Industry in Edmonton, Alberta.
Reporting to the Drafting Manager, the Senior Vessel Designer / Checker is an integral part of the drafting team.
A typical day:
- Create accurate 3D vessel models
- Create accurate vessel detail drawings
- Check and approve vendor supplied vessel drawings
- Carry out vessel checking as and when required
- Mentor junior and intermediate vessel designers
- Create and maintain vessel drawing standards
- Create and Maintain vessel standard drawings
- Make recommendations for improved process and efficiency
Successful candidates will have:
- 10+ Years experience in vessel design and fabrication
- Proficient in the use of Cadworx 3D software and AutoCAD (2D and 3D)
- Strong knowledge of vessel fabrication processes
- Strong knowledge of vessel design
- Excellent communications skills
- Able to work individually and as part of a team
