The Rohit Group is searching for an analyst to join our corporate treasury team. Based in our head office in downtown Edmonton, our treasury team is a shared function across the Rohit Group, and as such you will serve and gain exposure to all divisions of Rohit (Homes, Communities, Commercial, Rental Living, and Infrastructure).

Reporting to the Manager, Treasury, you will actively support the group’s treasury operations, including the time-sensitive and actionable analysis to support project financings/investments. This role requires a candidate with strong analytical and communication skills, an ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment, and who works well in a collaborative team.

The Rohit Group’s Treasury team
• Supports the financing of real properties, both under construction as well as those operating in an asset portfolio.
• Monitors project and company cash flows.
• Manages bank accounts and relationships.
• Prepares various financial reports.
• Manages the corporate insurance program.
• Supports the Manager in driving strategic treasury initiatives, process improvements, and cash management/minimalization projects nationally.

Responsibilities Include
• Assist in the administration and management of the Company’s credit facilities by modeling any associated assets, costs, and cash inflows.
• Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to produce accurate and detailed project advance (quantity surveyor) reports.
• Providing insight to the treasury manager on daily cash/banking activities to identify continuous improvements to our processes.
• Supporting in a wide range of Treasury related administrative and operative tasks contributing to smooth daily operations.
• Assisting in or leading the creation of large financial models and dashboards.
• Verifying the integrity of data sets from a variety of sources.
• Supporting year-end and interim audits.
• Performing other duties, including ad hoc analyses projects, as assigned.

Our Ideal Candidate
• Holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or another quantitative field.
• Has a minimum of 7-10 years of professional experience in a related field or role.
• Possesses superb attention to detail.
• Can recognize key risks and will question existing tasks/methodologies with a view to improving overall processes, generating efficiencies, and strengthening the existing control environment.
• Is very comfortable with statistical, financial, or computational modeling.
• Holds advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, as well as visualization tools to create effective charts, tables, and graphs.
• Has demonstrated experience in handling large data sets and/or relational databases.
• Effectively communicates insights to their supervisor or other project stakeholders.
