<p>Our client, a fast-growing multidisciplinary consulting firm, is seeking a Senior Mechanical Project Manager to work remotely in Vancouver/Lower Mainland, British Columbia. This is a permanent, full-time position, paying $100-140k, based on experience, plus a competitive vacation and benefits package.</p><p><br></p><p>The Mechanical Senior Project Manager would work hand in hand with other team members located in Toronto, under the guidance and supervision of the Mechanical Engineering Manager. You are a trained professional engineer, passionate about improving existing mechanical building services. You are a highly motivated team player who thinks outside the box and has a drive to mentor and lead junior and intermediate engineers and designers. Your excellent problem-solving skills make you an ideal candidate to collaborate with a team to tackle challenges and develop innovative solutions. You appreciate the opportunity to be treated as a professional and are looking for a position to work directly with senior management to further your career, and are comfortable in a 100% remote role, with your support team being located in Ontario.</p><p><br></p><p>Your Role Responsibilities:</p><p>Work alongside a team of project managers and project coordinators to</p><p>successfully deliver on assigned projects. Mentor and support team members including but not limited to project coordinators, junior project managers and project managers.</p><p>• Responsible for preparing, completing, and ensuring all Depreciation Reports are submitted on time.</p><p>• Develop and/or improve processes and procedures for Project Management to improve efficiency.</p><p>• Lead & coordinate with site inspectors to complete site activities. Facilitate the communication between site inspectors and project managers as required. Responsible for managing and reviewing project deliverables.</p><p>• Manage and delegate construction administration tasks including but not</p><p>limited to shop drawing reviews, contract document setup etc. to team</p><p>members.</p><p>• Responsible for ensuring all construction admin tasks are completed</p><p>accurately, timely and within the assigned budget for projects.</p><p>• Facilitate the communication between the project management team and the design team as required.</p><p>• Respond to client related queries regarding the technical and financial</p><p>aspects of the project.</p><p>• Prepare and continually monitor a schedule of tasks required to complete the project including hours to perform tasks and critical data required for</p><p>performance.</p><p>• Organize and chair internal and client meetings.</p><p>• Attend client meetings and contribute to discussions alongside the Manager of Business Development (also located in Vancouver)</p><p>• Complete all other project management, construction admin and general</p><p>project oversight tasks as required to successfully complete assigned</p><p>projects.</p><p>• Complete all other tasks as assigned by upper management.</p><p><br></p><p>What You'll Bring:</p><p>• Minimum of 6 years of direct industry experience in the field of mechanical building services. Retrofit experience is preferred.</p><p>• Diploma / Degree from a mechanical building services technical program or an engineering program.</p><p>• P.Eng. Designation in British Columbia is preferred.</p><p>• Strong leadership qualities and mentorship skills.</p><p>• Good working knowledge of (construction) project management principles with the ability to apply those principles on ongoing projects.</p><p>• Good working knowledge of HVAC, Plumbing and Fire Protection Systems.</p><p>• Knowledge and understanding of the National Building Code of Canada and the BC Building Codes.</p><p>• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a drive and ability to collaborate and problem solve as part of a team.</p><p>• Ability to utilize both verbal and written forms of communication to effectively communicate internally with colleagues as well as externally with clients.</p><p>• Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects working in a fast-paced environment to meet project deadlines.</p><p>• Must be proficient in MS Office Applications.</p><p>• Highly motivated self-starter with an attention to detail is a must.</p><p><br></p><p>Please email your resume to Chelsey Reimer at for consideration; we thank all applicants however only those selected for an interview will be contacted.</p>Create Your Resume First
