About the Opportunity:

We’re seeking six analytical and relationship-oriented Senior Financial Analysts to join a dynamic finance team within a respected non-profit organization based in midtown Toronto (conveniently located along the Yonge subway line). This hybrid role offers a meaningful opportunity to contribute to your community while building a long-term, stable career. You’ll play a key role in managing complex funding reports, preparing detailed financial analysis, supporting audits, and providing insightful forecasting that drives impactful programs across the GTA.


What You'll Be Doing:

  • Lead preparation of accurate and timely financial claims and government funding reports.
  • Support financial planning and budget submissions for various programs and regional operations.
  • Analyze and reconcile complex program-based funding models, wage subsidies, and early learning initiatives.
  • Manage month-end close activities and prepare key account reconciliations.
  • Provide financial support for new initiatives and feasibility analyses of expanding services.
  • Prepare audit documentation and respond to external auditor inquiries.
  • Collaborate with leadership to improve financial processes and ensure compliance with funder guidelines.


What You Bring:

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of full-cycle accounting experience, ideally in a multi-program or funding-heavy environment.
  • Strong technical accounting skills and confidence working with financial statements, reconciliations, and budgeting.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and accounting systems (e.g., Sage, MS Dynamics, QuickBooks, etc.).
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills – able to build trust with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • CPA designation is an asset, but not required – full CPA support is available through an Approved Training Office.
  • Experience with government funding models or not-for-profit accounting standards (ASNFPO) is an asset.
