Prior experience<br />working in shelter is an asset. This role is crucial to ensuring the safety and well-being of our residents,<br />staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate will have a strong presence, the ability to handle stressful<br />situations, and an unwavering commitment to maintaining a secure environment.</p><p> </p><p><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES :</strong><br /> Monitor Facility Access: Control access to the facility, ensuring that only authorized individuals<br />are allowed entry. Check identification and maintain logs as necessary.</p><p> Conflict Resolution: Address and de-escalate any disputes or conflicts between <br />guests, or staff. Act calmly and professionally in stressful situations while maintaining order.</p><p> Emergency Response: Respond promptly to emergencies (medical, fire, security, etc.), and assist<br />in evacuations if needed. Follow proper protocols for emergency situations.</p><p> Safety & Security: Conduct regular patrols of the building and surrounding areas to ensure<br />safety and prevent incidents of theft, vandalism, or other criminal activities. Secure doors and<br />windows after hours.</p><p> Incident Reporting: Document any incidents, violations, or disturbances, and complete incident<br />reports in a clear and timely manner. Communicate effectively with supervisors and staff<br />regarding any issues.</p><p> Maintain Presence: Provide a visible and authoritative presence within the environment to deter<br />negative behaviors, ensuring a calm and safe atmosphere for all individuals present.</p><p> Collaboration with Staff: Work closely with management and staff to implement<br />security protocols, and provide support for residents in need of additional assistance.</p><p> </p><p><strong>REQUIREMENTS</strong> :<br /> 1-2 years of experience working in security and have access to your own vehicle.<br /> Must have a valid Ontario Security License.<br /> Must be at least 18 years old.<br /> High school diploma or equivalent/GED or equivalent work experience<br /> Must be eligible to work in Canada up to 40 hours a week.<br /> First Aid and CPR</p><ul><li>Not transit accessible </li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>Benefits:</strong><br /> Opportunities for career growth and advancement.<br /> Paid training and development programs.</p><p> </p><p><strong>Disclaimer:</strong></p><p>As part of our standard hiring process, all candidates being considered for employment with Allied<br />Universal are required to undergo a background check.
