Scholars of Don Mills is seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Part-time Science Tutor (Chemistry & Biology) to join our team. As a teacher at Scholars, you will have the opportunity to positively impact students, both personally and academically. We take pride in delivering results that matter to all of our students, and our teachers play a key role in this journey. The successful candidate will be trained on Scholars' teaching methodology. Here's what we're looking for:
- Ability to teach Biology and Chemistry up to Grade 12, as well as English & Math up to Grade 6.
- Ability to teach groups of up to 3 students
- Ontario Certified Teacher is preferred (flexible at the Centre Director's discretion)
- Candidates in Teachers College or university designation towards sciences are also encouraged to apply
- Previous experience working with students is an asset
- Vulnerable Sector Check to be completed
- Excellent English oral and written skills
- A passion to help students reach their potential
- Exceptionally organized and high attention to detail
Candidates must be available to work a minimum of two shifts per week during our hours of operation (listed below), including Tuesdays and Thursdays.
- Mondays - Thursdays, 4:00PM - 8:00PM
- Fridays - 4:00PM - 8:00PM
- Saturdays - 9:00AM - 4:00PM
We are looking for teachers to join our team in-centre
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00 per hour
