<p><strong>What's the Job?<br> <br> Location:</strong> Oakville, ON or Montreal, QC (Onsite)<br> <strong>Pay Rate:</strong> Up to $43.26/hour<br> <strong>Job Type:</strong> 30 Week Contract<br> <strong>Driving Requirement:</strong> Yes - 25% (Personal Vehicle)</p> <strong>About the Role</strong> <p>We are seeking a <strong>detail-oriented and proactive Rolling Stock Buyer</strong> to join our procurement team. This role focuses on sourcing and purchasing rolling stock materials and services, ensuring alignment with project specifications and delivery timelines.</p> <strong>Key Responsibilities</strong> <ul> <li>Source and procure materials from approved rolling stock vendors. <li>Obtain quotes and evaluate supplier capabilities. <li>Create and manage purchase orders in <strong>SAP (MM module)</strong> for spare parts and tooling. <li>Ensure accuracy of pricing, delivery dates, and supplier information. <li>Collaborate with engineering, project management, and logistics teams. <li>Monitor order status and follow up with suppliers for timely delivery. <li>Resolve discrepancies in invoices, deliveries, and purchase orders. <li>Maintain supplier records and material master data in SAP. <li>Identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements. <li>Ensure compliance with company procurement policies. </ul> <strong>Qualifications</strong> <ul> <li>Post-secondary education in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field. <li><strong>Minimum 5 years of procurement/buying experience.</strong> <li><strong>Proficiency in SAP (MM module) is required.</strong> <li>Strong understanding of procurement processes and supply chain principles. <li>Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. <li>Effective communication and interpersonal abilities. <li>Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. </ul> <p> </p> <p>If this is a role that interests you and you'd like to learn more, click apply now and a recruiter will be in touch with you to discuss this great opportunity.
