Your responsibilities will include:</p><ol><li>Managing geriatric inpatients in the 16-bed psychiatric unit and providing consults to medical/surgical units and the emergency department.</li><li>Participating in the seniors mental health community team and outreach to primary and residential care providers.</li><li>Potential opportunities in developmental disability mental health services and tertiary geriatric care collaboration.</li></ol><p>This role offers teaching opportunities with medical students through the UBC Faculty of Medicine Southern Medical Program and participation in the on-call schedule. Leadership development is available through Interior Health’s NAVIG8 Program, designed to foster emerging physician leaders.</p><p>Locum opportunities are also available during the recruitment period.
