Job Description
<p>As the Profit Centre Manager, you will develop and lead all business operations at the Profit Centre. You will be accountable for growing the business while sustaining consistent profitability.</p><p><b>Additional duties will include :</b></p><ul><li>Achieve sales, gross profit- and profit-sharing goals through the recruitment, development, training, coaching, evaluation, and management of the Profit Centre Team</li><li>Determine targeted customer account potential, establish sales goals for those accounts and hold the sales team accountable for achieving those goals</li><li>Analyze available financial reports and information; develop and implement appropriate strategies to increase sales and margins, improve productivity and manage assets and expenses</li><li>Build relationships in the community to understand the marketplace, increase market share and identify new markets</li><li>Ensure the Profit Centre meets or exceeds service expectations of customers</li><li>Take ownership of all marketing plans and purchasing agreements</li><li>Understand and follow all safety regulations at all customer locations as well as at the Profit Centre</li><li>Safeguard and maintain all Profit Centre assets – buildings, trucks, equipment, inventory, and receivables</li><li>Perform other tasks as requested by the Regional Manager or President</li></ul><p><b>Qualifications</b></p><ul><li>College and / or University degree</li><li>A minimum of 3 years of wholesale distribution experience</li><li>A minimum of 2 years in a management or leadership role</li><li>Valid driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract</li><li>Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software</li><li>Possess a strong work ethic and a high standard of integrity</li><li>Driven to succeed with a strong entrepreneurial spirit</li><li>Possess excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to make sound business judgments</li><li>Create and nurture a positive team environment, inspiring all teammates to do their best work and to achieve the highest levels of customer and teammate satisfaction</li><li>Strong desire to strive for operational excellence</li><li>Understand purchasing and inventory control processes</li><li>Ability to learn and operate the applicable software system used to process orders</li><li>Ability to learn how to operate material handling equipment</li></ul><p><b>Preferred Skills :</b></p><ul><li>Previous experience with or knowledge of plumbing and building products sold at the Profit Centre</li><li>Knowledge of the construction industry</li><li>Experience using Trend and Eclipse</li></ul><p>Additional Information</p><p>Salary Range - $75,000</p><h3>Create a job alert for this search</h3>#J-18808-Ljbffr
