<p><b>Job Title</b>: Production Supervisor (Rotating shifts)</p>
<p><b>Location</b>: Scarborough, ON (Onsite)</p>
<p><b>Industry</b>: Manufacturing - Custom High Voltage Transmission Equipment</p>
<p><b>Shift Schedule</b>: Rotational shifts (day, afternoon, and overnight)</p>
<p><b>Position Overview</b>:</p>
<p>As a Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing daily manufacturing operations and ensuring production targets, quality standards, and safety protocols are met. This is a hands‑on leadership role requiring excellent communication, team management, and problem‑solving skills. You will manage a team of 20‑30 employees across multiple shifts and will report directly to the Plant Manager.</p>
<p><b>Key Responsibilities</b>:</p>
<ul>
<li>Supervise a team of 20‑30 production employees, ensuring daily operations are efficient and meet production targets.</li>
<li>Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality control procedures, and company policies.</li>
<li>Manage unionized workforce and handle HR responsibilities such as HR investigations, claims, and employee performance management.</li>
<li>Schedule and manage shift rotations to meet customer demand while adhering to labor laws and union agreements.</li>
<li>Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency and reduce downtime.</li>
<li>Monitor and manage labor costs, including overtime, while ensuring adequate staffing levels.</li>
<li>Collaborate with other supervisors and the Plant Manager to align on production goals, resource allocation, and capacity planning.</li>
<li>Ensure proper documentation of production activities, including reports on productivity, inventory levels, and personnel performance.</li>
</ul>
<p><b>Key Qualifications</b>:</p>
<ul>
<li>Must have union experience — experience in managing a unionized workforce is required.</li>
<li>3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally in custom manufacturing or high‑voltage transmission equipment.</li>
<li>Proven ability to manage and motivate teams of 20+ employees across different shifts.</li>
<li>Strong understanding of manufacturing operations and lean principles.</li>
<li>Excellent communication, leadership, and conflict resolution skills.</li>
<li>Experience with HR functions, including disciplinary actions and investigations.</li>
<li>Flexible to work rotational shifts, including nights and weekends as required.</li>
<li>Ability to manage under pressure, handle unexpected challenges, and maintain a high level of operational excellence.</li>
