It's an excellent fit for experienced finance professionals with a strong background in cost accounting, operational finance, and strategic business partnering.<br><br>About the Role<br><br> Reporting to senior operations leadership, the Plant Controller is responsible for safeguarding assets, ensuring accurate plant financial reporting, and providing insights that directly improve P&L results and cash flow. This role works closely with operational teams to enhance margins, improve cost controls, and accelerate efficiency initiatives, while maintaining strong compliance and control frameworks.<br><br> What You'll Do<br /><ul><li>Oversee plant financial reporting in accordance with corporate standards and Canadian GAAP.</li><li>Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning for the facility, aligning with organizational objectives.</li><li>Analyze variances and trends to drive timely operational decision-making and performance improvements.</li><li>Partner with operations leadership to support productivity, lean initiatives, and continuous improvement projects.</li><li>Ensure accurate inventory valuation, cost accounting, and standard costing processes.</li><li>Lead physical inventory and cycle counts, ensuring discrepancies are explained and prevented going forward.</li><li>Oversee compliance, audit readiness, and financial risk mitigation at the plant level.</li><li>Develop and mentor finance team members, fostering accountability and cross-functional collaboration.</li></ul> What You Bring<br /><ul><li>Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration; CPA required .</li><li>7-10 years of progressive accounting/finance experience, including at least 3 in plant controller or equivalent role.</li><li>Expertise in cost accounting, inventory management, and ERP systems.</li><li>Proven ability to partner with operations to deliver measurable financial impact.</li><li>Strong analytical skills, business acumen, and the ability to link financial performance with operational drivers.</li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence across functions.</li><li>Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment is an asset.</li></ul> Why Join<br><br> This is a high-impact finance leadership role within a collaborative and performance-oriented environment.
