Outside Sales Representative

OTE: $120K - $140K+ (Salary $75K - $80K + monthly commission) + car allowance + excellent benefits + pension plan
Seeking an Outside Sales Representative to manage and grow a busy territory. The products of this steel & metals building materials distributor are in high demand across multiple industries including manufacturing, energy, agriculture, construction, industrial, service centres, fabrication, MRO etc.
Ideal for a self-starter with excellent communication and organization skills who is looking for an opportunity to build a career and be highly rewarded for their efforts.
This role offers a unique chance to impact growth, deepen product knowledge, and build client relationships with existing contacts and strategically drive new business. Opportunity for development are a core value at the center of this business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop the territory through managing and growing existing accounts and developing new business while fostering long-term relationships with clients.
- Establish monthly and annual sales goals and work with the branch to achieve targets.
- Develop and implement strategies to engage new and existing customers across multiple sectors.
- Analyze customer needs and offer tailored solutions.
- Negotiate quotations with key prospects and customers to drive revenue and profitability.
- Provide outstanding customer service to stand out from competitors.
- Communicate with internal cross functional departments.
- Leverage CRM tools to manage client interactions and optimize personal productivity.
- Bring an entrepreneurial attitude to the role.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years experience outside sales, practical knowledge of steel or metal distribution, industrial sales, manufacturing, fabrication or construction highly preferred.
- Proven ability to build relationships with customers to earn repeat business.
- Strategic thinker with strong communication, and analytical skills.
- Excellent negotiation skills, time management and highly organized.
- Excellent people skills with commitment to delivering a high level of customer service.
- Willingness to continually develop professional skills and knowledge base relevant to customers needs.
