<p ><p><p>Job Description</p></p><p><p><p><p><p><b>Driver Development Training Program:</b></p><ul><li>One on one training with a skilled driver coach</li><li>Nine-weeks of paid, industry specific training</li><li>Training focuses on backing skills, local/city/highway driving, safe loading and delivering techniques</li><li>Company driver position following successful completion of training</li></ul><p><b>Key Responsibilities:</b></p><ul><li>Daily runs to Michigan</li><li>Transport solid waste from the transfer stations to various landfills</li><li>Inspect vehicles daily for mechanical items and safety issues to ensure safe operation and public safety</li><li>Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, equipment damage and property damage when applicable</li><li>Document and log driving/break periods in Kilometers on Daily Trip Report and E-logs in accordance with DOT & MTO Regulations</li><li>Retain copies of fuel, and border toll receipts, as well as pick-up and delivery tickets to complete daily paperwork</li><li>Comply with applicable legislation including safe operation of vehicles, carriage of goods, Hours of Service, occupational health and safety, customs and immigration, weights and dimensions</li><li>Approximately 600Km-1100km a day, 10-14 hour runs</li><li>Home nightly</li></ul><p><b>Knowledge, Skills and Competencies:</b></p><ul><li>Valid AZ License</li><li>Must be able to cross US border in a CMV daily</li><li>Great attitude and work ethic</li><li>Knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations</li><li>High level of personal integrity</li><li>Eagerness to learn and develop skills</li><li>Dedicated and strong work ethic</li><li>Professional/mature demeanor under stressful situations</li><li>Ability to work in a fast-paced environment</li></ul><p><b>Key Offerings:</b></p><ul><li>Home every day</li><li>Deferred Profit Sharing & Group Retirement Savings Plan with ability to purchase GFL stocks</li><li>100% Company-paid employee benefits program</li><li>Late model tractors and trailers</li><li>Dedicated equipment</li><li>Experienced E-log fleet</li><li>Competitive Pay Rates</li><li>Lane Pay</li><li>Paid training</li><li>Bi-weekly and quarterly incentives</li><li>Optional Saturday shifts</li></ul><p>#GFLTALENT</p></p></p></p></p></p>
