<h3>The opportunity :</h3>
<p>Reporting to the VP, Transition, the Manager, Transition plays an integral role in the planning and management of onboarding new investment teams to a successful integration to our firm. The role will engage with all aspects of WAPW and provides excellent exposure to cross-functional department business partners and to the Executive. This role covers the onboarding cycle including recruiting, onboarding, and integration of new teams into WA to support the growth of our business.</p>
<h3>Key responsibilities include :</h3>
<p>Organize and manage the transition process of new investment advisors (IA) to Wellington-Altus Working closely with the VP and Regional Managers to ensure a detailed understanding of the incoming Advisor structures his / her practice to allow for a smooth transition for his / her clients.</p>
<p>Facilitate a smooth documentation process is trained and implemented on Day 1 for new advisors.</p>
<h3>Provide leadership in training on WA systems and process.</h3>
<p>Responsible for on-site teams to support the new IA and team in a professional and organized way.</p>
<p>Recruit and supervise Transition staff</p>
<p>Supervise and manage a large, geographically dispersed team.</p>
<p>Set key performance metrics and train staff.</p>
<p>Provide performance management and coaching where appropriate and required.</p>
<p>Complete regular resource forecasting to ensure the adequate staff levels to meet projected operational demands.</p>
<p>Lead and facilitate the transition team leads in the process of new team transitions</p>
<p>Provide coaching to Transition Associates and train these individuals to train newly hired transition associates.</p>
<h3>Be a mentor to Team Leaders.</h3>
<p>Create, review and report on project timelines and deliverables</p>
<p>Provide executive level reports on transition progress.</p>
<p>Participate in due diligence meetings of potential new IA .</p>
<p>Work collaboratively with Operations on integration of process.</p>
<p>Support operational improvement</p>
<p>Analyze and adjust transition systems to facilitate rapid on boarding of new team.</p>
<p>Participate in various workgroups on new systems.</p>
<h3>The ideal candidate will possess :</h3>
<ul>
<li>Completion of post-secondary education in business administration, accounting, finance, or a similar field of study; or</li>
<li>Certificate in Management or Project Management.</li>
<li>2+ years’ experience as a member of the Transitions team.</li>
<li>Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.</li>
<li>Operations experience with an IIROC dealer would be an asset.</li>
<li>Experience working with NBIN would be an asset.</li>
<li>Completion of the Canadian Securities Institute courses – CSC or CPH, or other relevant industry courses, is an asset.</li>
<li>High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office products, notably Excel.</li>
<li>Strong knowledge and desire to learn new technology applications quickly, such as DocuSign, custodian applications, WA systems.</li>
<li>Familiarity with using electronic time management systems for team members.</li>
<li>Experience and knowledge of fundamentals of financial systems; knowledge of investment industry with a focus on electronic documents processes will be an asset.</li>
<li>High-level of knowledge of the process of onboarding an Advisor’s clients from one dealer to another, including knowledge of IIROC forms and regulations, new account processes, transfer processes, etc.</li>
<li>Ability to train, motivate and monitor key performance metrics for a diverse team.</li>
<li>Must be able to build and maintain a collaborative, healthy team environment</li>
<li>Experience in resource forecasting, with the ability to plan and assign people resources to align with project and operational demands.</li>
<li>Proven self-starter.</li>
<li>Effective prioritization, organizational, and time management capabilities.</li>
<li>Team-player mindset; willing to help and learn from others.</li>
<li>Excellent written and verbal skills with careful attention to detail.</li>
<li>Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize information.</li>

<li>Strong project management skills and demonstrated experience in leading multiple teams in various locations.</li>
<li>Skills in change management.</li>
<li>Strong presentation skills; comfortable speaking in front of senior wealth professionals with a client centric and service-oriented focus.</li>
<li>An ability to maintain the highest levels of confidentiality.</li>
<li>Willingness and ability to work overtime as business needs dictate, including evenings and weekends.</li>

<h3>Conditions of employment :</h3>
<ul>
<li>Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.</li>
