<p><p><b>Adecco is currently hiring for a Maintenance Planner / Scheduler to join our client’s team in Nanticoke.</b> This is a full-time, temporary opportunity within the industrial maintenance and operations sector.</p><p>This role entails planning and scheduling all maintenance activities, coordinating resources, equipment, and labor crews, and ensuring projects are executed efficiently and safely. Successful candidates will have experience in maintenance planning, strong organizational skills, and proficiency with scheduling and planning software.</p><p>If you enjoy coordinating teams and managing complex maintenance schedules, this role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and professional organization.</p><h3>Job details</h3><ul><li><b>Location:</b> Nanticoke, ON</li><li><b>Job Type:</b> Full-time | 2 years contract</li><li><b>Schedule:</b> 5 days on / 2 days off</li></ul><h3>Why Join</h3><ul><li>Work with a well-established industrial organization supporting critical maintenance operations</li><li>Opportunity to contribute to high-impact planning and scheduling projects</li><li>Collaborative and professional work environment</li><li>Competitive pay and potential for growth</li></ul><h3>Key Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Demonstrate safety as the top priority in all planning and scheduling activities</li><li>Participate in planning with core and work teams</li><li>Plan and schedule routine maintenance work required</li><li>Develop schedules, cost estimates, and equipment planning for routine work during turnaround windows</li><li>Plan complex jobs and develop resource plans with Scheduler, Execution Lead, and Operations teams</li><li>Identify and monitor critical and sub-critical paths for major events</li><li>Apply advanced functions of planning and estimating tools and educate field execution personnel on look-ahead schedules</li><li>Provide input to maintenance work contracting/procurement strategy and ensure adherence</li><li>Resolve scheduling issues, including negative float, out-of-sequence updates, resource overloads, scope changes, and progress validation</li><li>Develop complete job plans with materials, resources, and timelines</li><li>Provide input into material selection and management</li><li>Plan, estimate, track, and schedule Field Order Changes (FCOs)</li><li>Apply planning logic such as lead, lag, critical path, and milestones</li><li>Assess work contingencies and coordinate activities across teams when contingencies arise</li></ul><h3>Requirements</h3><ul><li>Must be eligible to work and reside within Canada</li><li>Previous experience in a closely related maintenance planning or scheduling role</li><li>Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent professional experience</li><li>Strong verbal and written communication skills to clearly convey recommendations to management</li><li>Ability to adapt to tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and frequent changes in priorities</li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Office and selected scheduling/planning software</li><li>Demonstrates leadership skills in work team meetings to remove barriers and steward action items and cost profiles</li></ul></p>
