Job Overview


We are currently hiring for an experienced Shunter in Brampton, ON.



  • Position and move trailers, containers, and trucks within the yard as directed. Each vehicle must be positioned at a designated spot to ensure safe transportation.

  • Perform regular yard checks to monitor trailer locations. Vehicles can be misplaced due to human error which affects efficiency.
  • Coordinate with dispatchers, drivers, and yard staff to ensure efficient flow of equipment through communication effective strategies such as radio signals or hand signs used by drivers

  • Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections of shunt trucks/trailers including oil levels maintenance schedules fuel storage capacity wear tear condition etc - A broken vehicle causes more delay than just waiting!
