Job Description
The Locate Support Agent will contribute to the day-to-day operations of Promark-Telecon Inc within the Alberta region by supporting the work management of our Utility Locators. They will provide administrative assistance required to complete Alberta One Call requests ensuring homeowners, professional excavators and utility companies can dig safely.This is currently a remote opportunity; however we are seeking a candidate based in Alberta - preferably _ Edmonton _or _ Calgary _.
YOU WILL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:
Answering incoming phone calls/emails and responding to any inquiries or issues from both internal and external customers
Relay any communications between Contractors and Utility Locators to ensure the highest level of productivity
Reviewing Alberta One Call tickets placed to ensure the ticket provides adequate information for the Utility Locator to perform the physical locate
Respond to all emergency tickets; prioritizing Alberta One Call in a timely manner
Schedule and route tickets for Team Leads and Utility Locators
Monitor Utility Locator work status and completions throughout the day
Clear/cancel tickets as per Contractor, Supervisor or Team Lead communications
Reviewing all rescheduled and backlogged tickets
Respond, record, and follow appropriate procedures for conflicts on a ticket
Create and update various reports on an as needed basis
Support TurboCAD/file management, file sharing, file updates, creation of new files
Assist Utility Locators with various communication requests
Assist with special projects and requests as required
All other duties as assigned to meet Company objectives
THIS ROLE IS FOR YOU IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:
Previous experience within a Dispatch environment an asset; preferably within construction or utility industry
Experience interpreting or reading location maps, sketches, prints or proficiency with CAD software an asset
Experience with invoicing an asset
Proficient within MS Office Suite of products
Proficiency with Power BI an asset
Knowledge of Province of Alberta geography
Ability to take an 'On Call' shift in rotation
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Superior customer service skills; customer focused both internally and externally, ability to handle both favorable and unfavorable customer interactions
Strong attention to detail to produce high quality output in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work well and maintain performance under pressure, with tight timelines & frequent demanding deadlines
Ability to identify problems & situations, take appropriate actions, implement solutions or escalate
Self-starter with strong organizational skills
