3twenty Modular is currently seeking a Lead Hand to join our growing team on a full-time permanent basis. This opportunity is based in Saskatoon, SK.

Due to the nature of modular construction, overnight out-of-town travel is required for setup. While we strive to provide significant advance notice, flexibility is required to meet project milestones.

The standard hours are Monday to Thursday, 6:00 am to 4:30 pm (10 hours).

What you'll do:

  • Lead and supervise a small to medium group of workers on a single project, providing guidance, instruction, and support throughout construction.
  • Plan and execute work based on drawings and collaborate with design and project management to troubleshoot issues when required.
  • Assist the Site Superintendent in ensuring the job is completed according to the required scope, quality, and timeline.
  • Support the Site Superintendent in overseeing the start and end of the day on-site and in completing orientations with subcontractors.
  • Promote the importance of safety by identifying hazards, monitoring compliance and educating others.
  • Travel to project sites to set up as required.
  • Other job duties as assigned.

Who you'll work with:

The Team: You will oversee and mentor construction workers to ensure successful project completion.

Collaborators: You will collaborate closely with all field staff, architectural technologists, designers, and project managers to ensure successful project completion. By building strong internal and supply chain relationships, we can work together to deliver high-quality, cost-efficient builds for our customers.

What you'll bring:

  • A minimum of four years of construction experience is preferred. A combination of relevant experience and education may be considered.
  • A journeyperson carpenter certificate or equivalent is considered an asset.
  • A strong understanding and commitment to safety.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to delegate tasks and provide constructive feedback.
  • A positive attitude and the ability to collaborate effectively with others.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites, including out-of-town and overnight travel.
  • A valid driver's license.
