In Estate Litigation, we handle cases such as Will Challenges and Defenses, Power of Attorney Litigation, Dependents' Support, and Relief Claims. In Family Law, we provide legal expertise for Separation and Divorce, Spousal Support, Child Custody, and Independent Legal Advice. Known for our compassionate and thorough advocacy, Elm Law is committed to achieving the best possible outcomes for our clients.</p><p>Role Description</p><p>This is a full-time, on-site Lawyer role based in Whitby, ON. The Lawyer will be responsible for managing legal cases in Estate Litigation and Family Law, including conducting legal research, preparing court proceedings, advising clients, and representing them in negotiations and court hearings. The role involves drafting legal documents, collaborating with clients and colleagues, and ensuring compliance with applicable legislation.</p><p>Qualifications</p><ul><li>Strong foundation in Estate Litigation, including handling Will Challenges, Power of Attorney Litigation, and related claims</li><li>Expertise in Family Law matters, such as Separation, Divorce, Spousal Support, and Child Custody</li><li>Legal research, drafting, and document preparation skills</li><li>Effective negotiation, communication, and client relationship management skills</li><li>Ability to manage multiple cases with attention to detail and time management</li><li>Membership in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario</li><li>Relevant legal experience, with a focus on Estate Litigation and Family Law, is an asset</li></ul>Create Your Resume First
