<p>Grillo Law is a prominent Toronto plaintiff personal injury law firm with over 40 years of experience. We have an energetic and collegial work environment that fosters both personal and professional growth.</p><p>We are looking for an exceptionally talented and energetic Accident Benefits Clerk to support our AB Team. The ideal incumbent must work well in a fast-paced environment and take pride in exceeding expectations. Must have a minimum of three years of experience as a Plaintiff AB Law Clerk. A law clerk community college diploma or equivalent experience in litigation is an asset.</p><p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES:</p><ul><li>Drafting correspondence to be sent to defense counsel, insurance companies, medical institutions and clients.</li><li>Completing OCF forms according to the Statutory Accident Benefits Schedule (SABS) requirements.</li><li>Communicating with insurance companies ensuring clients receive benefits as entitled under the SABS.</li><li>Building and maintaining relationships with clients, insurance adjusters and healthcare providers.</li><li>Reviewing medical documentation and other file contents.</li><li>Drafting LAT applications.</li><li>Direct communication with various counsel and clients.</li><li>Overall daily file maintenance.</li></ul><p>SKILLS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:</p><ul><li>Minimum 3+ years of accident benefits experience including working knowledge of the Statutory Accident Benefits Schedule (SABS) and LAT Process.</li><li>Proven experience working in a fast-paced and high-volume practice (carrying 130+ of your own files with varying difficulty).</li><li>Ability to work with minimal supervision.</li><li>Exceptional critical thinking skills.</li><li>Strong technical skills, including Microsoft Office.</li><li>Familiarity with Ghost Practices is an asset.</li><li>Strong verbal and written communication skills.</li><li>Keen attention to detail.</li><li>Ability to manage multiple priorities.</li><li>A passion for working within personal injury.</li></ul>Create Your Resume First
