_ Position Overview _

The Journeyman Mechanic performs diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on a wide range of heavy-duty trucks and equipment. The ideal candidate will bring technical ability, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to keeping equipment in top operating condition to ensure minimal downtime.

_ Key Responsibilities _

Diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy-duty trucks and trailers

Perform preventative maintenance and safety inspections in compliance with regulations

Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues

Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used

Ensure all repairs meet company and industry standards for safety and quality

Work collaboratively with shop supervisor, dispatch, and corporate operations to minimize downtime

Maintain a clean and safe work environment

_ Qualifications _

Red Seal Journeyman Heavy-Duty Mechanic or Commercial Transport Mechanic certification (required)

Minimum 1 year of experience working with heavy-duty trucks and trailers.

Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems

Ability to read and interpret manuals, schematics, and work orders

Valid driver's license (Class 1 or 3 with Air Brake Endorsement considered an

asset)

Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

Commitment to workplace safety and compliance

Pay: $38.00-$45.00 per hour
