<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p><p>We are seeking a talented and motivated Intermediate Software Engineer to join our dynamic team in a Scrum-based development environment. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in C# and Angular, possess excellent problem-solving skills, and demonstrate a willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges. This role requires outstanding communication abilities and a solid foundation in software engineering principles. Candidates must hold a degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field and be eligible for a Top Secret security clearance.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong><br />• Collaborate with cross-functional Scrum teams to design, develop, and deliver high-quality software solutions.<br />• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code in C# and Angular to meet project requirements.<br />• Participate in all Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.<br />• Analyze user requirements, design technical solutions, and implement features that align with business goals.<br />• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software defects in a timely manner.<br />• Address customer tickets, by providing prompt and durable resolutions.<br />• Stay up to date with emerging technologies, frameworks, and best practices to contribute to continuous improvement.<br />• Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation.<br />• Ensure compliance with security standards and protocols, especially those required for Top Secret clearance eligibility.</p><p><strong>Required Qualifications:</strong><br />• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.<br />• Proven experience developing applications using C#, ASP.NET and Angular frameworks.<br />• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and the software development lifecycle.<br />• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex technical challenges.<br />• Willingness and enthusiasm to learn new technologies and adapt to evolving project needs.<br />• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration within a team.<br />• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance</p><p><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong><br />• Experience developing in Kubernetes, microservices architecture.<br />• Familiarity with docker, helm, ruby <br />• Knowledge of additional front-end or back-end frameworks and best practices.<br />• Agile development experience, including the use of automated unit and integration tests.<br />• Familiarity with Cypress test frameworks<br />• Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and version control systems such as Git.</p><p><strong>Personal attributes:</strong><br />• Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal.<br />• Self-motivated and capable of managing multiple priorities and tasks<br />• Loves to be a part of a team.<br />• Creative and efficient in proposing solutions to complex, time-critical problems.<br />• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail.</p><p><strong>How We Work</strong><br />You will be expected to work in a remote/hybrid environment reporting to our Kanata, Ontario location 2 or more times per week.</p><p><strong>About JSI</strong><br />JSI is built on purpose, that of making a difference in the world.</p><p>Founded in 1979, this privately-owned technology company is the North American leader in designing and developing acquisition, collection and analysis solutions for law enforcement and intelligence communities.</p><p>With 4Sight – JSI’s single, unified, product suite – customers can combine any number of disparate data sources into a highly intuitive, visually-focused platform.
