<p>Maplesoft Group is currently seeking an IT Infrastructure Architect Advisory for our client.</p><p><br></p><p>Job Summary:</p><p>Our client is seeking a seasoned IT Infrastructure Architect Advisor to guide the evolution of their enterprise </p><p>systems and hybrid infrastructure. This consultative role complements the Network & Infrastructure </p><p>Advisor by focusing on systems architecture, cloud platforms, and enterprise productivity tools. The ideal </p><p>candidate will bring deep expertise in on-premises virtualization (Nutanix, VMware), Microsoft Azure, and </p><p>Microsoft 365 (E5), helping shape a resilient, scalable, and secure infrastructure aligned with business</p><p>and operational goals.</p><p>This role plays a key part in their broader IT transformation journey, championing the adoption of </p><p>DevSecOps practices, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and Agile delivery models to drive innovation, </p><p>strengthen security, and enhance the speed and quality of infrastructure services.</p><p><br></p><p>Key Responsibilities:</p><p><br></p><p>Systems & Platform Architecture Assessment</p><p>• Evaluate current infrastructure (on-prem and cloud) for scalability, performance, and alignment </p><p>with best practices.</p><p>• Identify gaps in virtualization, storage, compute, and platform integration.</p><p>• Recommend improvements to architecture, automation, and lifecycle management.</p><p><br></p><p>Cloud & Hybrid Infrastructure Advisory</p><p>• Provide strategic guidance on Azure architecture, governance, and optimization.</p><p>• Support the design and implementation of hybrid cloud models integrating Nutanix/VMware </p><p>with Azure services.</p><p>• Advise on cloud-native services, identity management, and Zero Trust principles.</p><p><br></p><p>Microsoft 365 & Productivity Platform Expertise</p><p>• Assess and optimize the use of Microsoft 365 E5 capabilities (e.g., Defender, Purview, Intune, </p><p>Teams, SharePoint).</p><p>• Recommend strategies for secure collaboration, data governance, and endpoint management.</p><p>• Align platform usage with business needs and security frameworks.</p><p><br></p><p>Infrastructure Operations & Support Model Review</p><p>• Evaluate the effectiveness of systems support teams (e.g., virtualization, cloud ops, platform </p><p>admins).</p><p>• Identify skill gaps, process inefficiencies, and opportunities for automation.</p><p>• Recommend improvements to team structure, workflows, and service delivery.</p><p>• Lead the adoption of DevSecOps practices, including Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Agile delivery </p><p>models, and integrated security throughout the development and operations lifecycle.</p><p><br></p><p>Strategic Roadmap & Transformation Support</p><p>• Contribute to infrastructure modernization roadmaps, including cloud migration, automation, </p><p>and platform integration.</p><p>• Ensure architectural decisions support resilience, agility, and cost optimization.</p><p><br></p><p>Cross-Functional Collaboration</p><p>• Work closely with enterprise architecture, cybersecurity, service delivery, and business systems </p><p>teams.</p><p>• Participate in design reviews, workshops, and incident analyses with a focus on systems reliability </p><p>and integration.</p><p><br></p><p>Innovation & Technology Evaluation</p><p>• Monitor emerging trends in cloud infrastructure, virtualization, and platform engineering.</p><p>• Evaluate tools and platforms (e.g., Azure Arc, Nutanix Prism, Microsoft Defender Suite) for </p><p>adoption.</p><p>• Promote Infrastructure as Code (IaC), observability, and automation to enhance agility and </p><p>control.</p><p><br></p><p>Qualifications:</p><p>• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.</p><p>• 10+ years of experience in IT infrastructure architecture, with at least 3 years in a strategic or </p><p>advisory role.</p><p>• Proven experience designing and optimizing hybrid environments (on-prem with Nutanix/VMware </p><p>and cloud with Azure).</p><p>• Strong understanding of Microsoft 365 E5 capabilities and enterprise platform integration.</p><p>• Experience with infrastructure automation, monitoring, and lifecycle management.</p><p>• Familiarity with Zero Trust, identity and access management (IAM), and cloud security principles.</p><p>• Solid understanding of OSFI Guideline B-13 and its implications for technology governance, cyber risk </p><p>management, and operational resilience in federally regulated financial institutions.</p><p>• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p>Maplesoft Group prides itself on its distinct corporate culture and recognizes that success is a direct reflection of our most valuable asset - our people.
