Job Description

Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Fabricator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in metal fabrication, welding, and mechanical assembly, with the ability to interpret blueprints and schematics. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects, including ductwork, structural components, and custom fabrications, utilizing a variety of tools and machinery in a casual and professional environment.

Duties

  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine fabrication requirements
  • Operate machinery such as plasma cutters, press brake machines, and machining tools to cut, shape, and assemble metal components
  • Perform MIG and TIG welding with precision to ensure high-quality welds that meet specifications
  • Rigging materials and components safely for lifting and assembly using cranes or forklifts
  • Use hand tools and power tools for assembly, fitting, and finishing of fabricated parts
  • Measure materials accurately with calipers and other measuring devices for precise fabrication
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and procedures

Experience

  • Proven experience in metal fabrication or manufacturing environments
  • Mechanical knowledge related to machinery operation and maintenance
  • Skilled in MIG welding, TIG welding, plasma cutting, and blueprint reading
  • Ability to fit sub assemblies for final welding
  • Familiarity with schematics, hand tools, power tools, and machining processes
  • Experience with rigging, crane operation, forklift handling, and assembly tasks is preferred
  • Good math skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks

This role requires a dedicated professional capable of working with precision in a dynamic setting. Candidates should possess strong mechanical aptitude, safety awareness, and the ability to interpret technical drawings accurately.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00-$36.60 per hour

Expected hours: 44 per week
