Electrician:



Our client, a leader in the production of building materials is looking for a licensed Electrician to join their team in Mississauga. 



Responsibilities: 

  • Repair critical electrical equipment, perform preventive and predictive maintenance, and complete projects such as mechanical and electrical hardware and software upgrades.

  • Repair or replace control devices such as switches, proximity sensors, push buttons, contractors, motor starts, thermocouples etc. as needed.

  • Responsible for making PLC program changes, installations or updates to maintain proper operations.

  • Detecting, troubleshooting and repairing malfunctions in all types of equipment including hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical functions.

  • Perform routine maintenance work on machinery, including conveyors and/or cranes.

  • Comply with the Electrical Safety Authority, all legislated and company health, safety and environmental policies, procedures and programs, including lockout/tagout.



Required Qualifications:

  • Successful candidates must have related electrical maintenance experience in an Industrial environment.

  • Candidates require certification as an Industrial Electrician (442A) or as a Construction Electrician (309A) and strong background in PLC maintenance.

  • Previous crane, conveyor, pneumatic and hydraulic maintenance experience is a definite asset.

  • Possesses skill in interpreting blueprints and technical drawings, especially electrical drawing.
