We specialize in delivering tailored talent solutions-such as permanent and flexible recruitment, behavioral and skill assessments, workforce analytics, and talent-management consulting-to help organizations improve performance and productivity.</p><p><br></p><p><b>What's the job?</b></p><p>The Human Resources and Occupational Health & Safety Specialist is responsible for delivering comprehensive HR support across the organization and serving as the primary administrator for Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) claims (WCB across Canada) and related disability management activities. This role ensures compliance with Ontario employment legislation, supports a safe and healthy workplace, and provides guidance to employees and leaders on HR policies, programs, and best practices. Select responsibilities include:</p><p><br></p><ul><li>Act as a trusted HR partner to employees and management, providing guidance on HR policies, procedures, and employment-related matters</li><li>Administer the full employee lifecycle such as onboarding, orientation, first level employee relations, and offboarding</li><li>Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation in accordance with privacy legislation and company policies Serve as the primary point of contact for all WSIB and WCB claims and related matters in Canada</li><li>Report workplace injuries and illnesses to WSIB and WCB in a timely and accurate manner in compliance with statutory requirements</li><li>Manage the full lifecycle of WSIB and WCB claims, including claim submission, monitoring, follow-up, and resolution</li><li>Coordinate and administer early and safe return-to-work (RTW) and modified work programs</li></ul><p><br></p><p><b>What's in it for you?</b></p><ul><li>Work-Life Balance: we are mainly a remote work environment, leaving you with time to do what matters</li><li>Belonging: be part of a supportive, Global HR team that is reimagining how we support the business</li><li>Security: with over 75 years in business, we offer security and stability that is very rarely matched</li><li>Opportunity: we are rapidly growing and many of our contract roles are converted to fulltime, permanent positions</li><li>Compensation: $70 000 to $80 000 (as a contract role, excludes benefits)</li></ul><p><br></p><p><b>Who are we looking for?</b></p><ul><li>University Degree, preferred</li><li>Minimum 3 years of progressive HR Generalist experience</li><li>Demonstrated experience managing WSIB claims and return-to-work programs</li><li>Strong working knowledge of Ontario employment legislation, including:</li><li>Employment Standards Act (ESA)</li><li>Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA)</li><li>Workplace Safety and Insurance Act (WSIA)</li><li>Human Rights Code</li><li>Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA)</li></ul><p></p>Create Your Resume First
